HW- Read Book 10- Here is a summary for those of you absent today.

Odysseus and his men land on Circe's island.  Odysseus sends half his troops to investigate the island while he chills on the boat.  Circe turns the men into pigs.  Odysseus hears about this and confronts Circe.  Before he goes to Circe, he visits Hermes who gives him "Moly" to fight against Circe's poison.  He also tells Odysseus to make Circe swear to not play any tricks.  Odysseus encounters Circe and uses the advice Hermes gave him.  He and Circe have sex.  After a while, Odysseus is sad because his men are pigs.  He asks Circe to return them to men.  She does and tells Odysseus to have all his men feast and lounge with her.  They do this for a year.  Eventually, Odysseus's men persuade him to return home.  Before he can do this, Circe tells him he must go to Hades to see a prophet to gather info on how to get home....

-Work with some people around you to answer the questions.  Then, you need to attempt to translate the prologue into modern language....the way you guys talk today.  Be careful!  Shakespeare's sentence structure is a little different than ours is, so you can't just do a straight translation.  You need to make what is being said make sense.

I know this is TOUGH.  Also, I know there are websites that will give you the answers.  DON'T USE THEM.  Give this a shot.  You are smart.  Keep in mind the prologue is just the overview of all the action of the play.  You know what happens...Use that knowledge as a guide.
